Pablo Ferro

After watching this documentary of Pablo Ferro, I could not help but to wish I lived in NYC during the 1960s. Everything in the art world was so new and exciting. The trailers and credits for movies were completely new and no one has ever seen a thing like it!
The work that the artists had to do in order to create those films was just amazing! Days and days on one small section. Today, we could just click a button and make our video have credits to look Pablo-ish.

While watching the film, I also couldn’t help but to think of my father. He was a barber in NYC in the 1960s and it’s fun to think that maybe they would have met. My father would cut the hair of pretty famous actors and models, so it’s quite possible.  Pablo was a free spirited artist that just liked to have fun with friends, as was my father. Almost all of my artwork is from the inspiration from my father and I loved to hear about Pablo’s story because it was almost like hearing a story of one of my father’s friends from back home. He loved NYC. I cannot wait to visit one day.
